RULES AND REGULATIONS OF GEM’S THEATRE ARTS

  • Fees are to be paid on the 1st of the month by standing order. A late fee may be applied if fees are not paid within 7 working days, incurring £1 for each day fees are late.
  • Four weeks’ notice is required if a pupil is to be withdrawn from classes. Failure to do so will result in four weeks fees being charged.
  • Refunds will not be offered for classes not attended, unless the class is cancelled by the teacher and no alternatives have been offered.

  • The teacher must be informed of any medical issues, and be given sufficient information in dealing with this prior to starting lessons. This includes additional learning needs.
  • Pupils must attend class in full uniform, with hair tied back (ballet bun/ neat ponytail/ braids), and bring appropriate footwear for the lesson. No jewellery is permitted. This is to ensure safe dance practice, and for the students to uphold the standard of the school. (You will receive an e-mail to purchase uniform after your registration is complete.)
  • Students are entered into exams under my name when I am confident they are ready, however, these exams are not compulsory.

  • Studio doors will be closed and during class time. Parents are asked to supervise their own children during wait times between classes.
  • Parents are permitted to stay in the office/ seating area during class times, but are not permitted access to the studio while classes are running as this can be distracting for students. We will have designated shows and presentation days through the year for you to come and watch.
  • Students must be collected by a parent or guardian at the end of class in the waiting area. No child may leave the building without an adult or be collected in the car park. Teacher must be informed if someone else is picking the student up.
