A Typical Year at Gem's Theatre Arts
Our new term starts in August with the new school year. Little Gems move up and we make a plan for the year ahead.
Exams!
We take part in ISTD and RAD exams through the year, usually in November, March or June. We offer exams in ballet, tap and modern from ages 6+
TAPATHON!
In November, we take part in the annual Tapathon for Children in Need, a world record attempt for the most amount of people tap dancing at the same time.
Adults and kids can take part, so take a look at our adult tap class if you're interested!
Christmas Movie Night!
On the last week of term, our studio turns into a cinema where we watch a ballet or musical.
Bring a Bestie to Ballet Day!
Bring a Bestie Day is always packed with plenty of fun, after all a ballet bestie is a bestie for life. Dancers can bring anyone they like to class!
Dalgety Bay & Hillend Gala Day!
We've performed in 2 out of 3 Gala Days, and it's always a blast. We walk in the parade in the morning, then show up for our performance slot later in the day!
Summer Show!
This is totally top secret, but we have our first big summer show being planned behind the scenes 🤫Details coming in September 1st!
Summer School*
Gem's Theatre Arts started with a Summer Camp, and now it is one of our most popular events! 1 week packed with dancing, games and arts and crafts.
