Frequently Ask Questions

Little Gems is £27 per month (pro rata). Your class trial is free!

For your trial, all your Little Gems needs is their dancing feet, leggings and a t-shirt, and water bottle for class. We have a borrow box of tap shoes they can try on their first day. Uniform can be purchased after trial.

Our Little Gems class is your little dancer's first steps toward independence, so we encourage them to come into class on their own. However, we totally understand that the first few classes can be quite nerve-racking for little ones (especially if they aren't at nursery yet) so if we need some encouragement from mum or dad, that's fine too! We have a waiting area for parents during class, so if we need an extra cuddle, we know where to come. Our studio door does have a window that is perfect for taking a quick peek too!

We know that sometimes the sound of tap shoes stamping together can be quite like loud - usually "not liking tap" isn't the issue, but the noise level is. We have sensory friendly ear muffs for those that may need them (just like the ones made for concerts). If your little dancer already has some, they can bring them too!

We say "when you're ready". You know yourself if your little one is ready to commit to the full class, so wait until you're ready to purchase the full uniform. The one pro of getting the uniform early is that your child will feel like part of the class when they are wearing what everyone else is. The first thing I recommend buying is ballet shoes. We have 2nd hand tap shoes that can be borrowed and swapped too!
